We're Hiring — Summer Season Open

Build the AI underwriting OS for commercial loan brokers

Small team, real revenue, zero churn. You'll write code that goes to production within days — and see brokers using it the same week.

Ship in days, not quarters Direct line to the CTO Real ownership

Summer Intern — Software Engineering

Remote / Hybrid 10–12 weeks
Summer Internship

You'll work directly with the CTO on production features, not throwaway intern projects. If you ship something useful, brokers will use it before your internship ends.

What you'll work on

  • Build features end-to-end across the stack — API endpoints, database schema, and UI.
  • Improve our document intelligence pipeline — bank statement parsers, PDF tracking, lender rule matching.
  • Prototype AI-powered features: classification, extraction, summarization, agentic workflows.
  • Write tests, fix bugs, and own small modules from idea to deploy.

What we're looking for

  • Currently pursuing a CS, AI, or related degree (rising junior, senior, or grad student).
  • Comfortable with at least one backend language and one frontend framework.
  • You ship. Show us a side project, an open-source contribution, or anything you've actually built and finished.
  • Bias toward action over discussion. We move fast and you'll be expected to push code in week one.

Nice to have

  • Some exposure to LLM APIs or AI-powered features.
  • Worked with PDFs, OCR, or document parsing.
  • Familiarity with modern web infrastructure and relational databases.
  • Interest in fintech, lending, or small business finance.

Software Engineer

Remote / Hybrid Full-time
Full-time

We're hiring our first full-time engineer. You'll have meaningful equity, full-stack scope, and a direct line to the CTO and customers. Expect to own product areas, not tickets.

What you'll do

  • Own product features end-to-end: spec, design, build, deploy, measure. From database schema to UI component.
  • Ship across the stack — the broker-facing web app and the underwriting backend.
  • Integrate and tune LLM-driven workflows — prompt design, evals, cost optimization.
  • Build and scale integrations: email, lender APIs, document parsing, webhook pipelines.
  • Help us harden the platform: observability, error tracking, performance, security.
  • Talk to brokers. Watch them use the product. Use what you learn to decide what to build next.

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years of professional full-stack experience (or strong equivalent — bootcamp plus a real shipped product, prior startup, etc.).
  • Strong in either backend or frontend, willing to be strong in both within 3 months.
  • You've built and shipped production systems with real users — not just coursework or tutorials.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity. You can take "we need a way for brokers to track lender responses" and turn it into a shipped feature.
  • Honest, direct communication style. You say "this won't work because X" instead of nodding along.

Nice to have

  • Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, or AI-powered features in production.
  • Worked on fintech, lending, payments, or document-heavy SaaS before.
  • Experience operating cloud infrastructure and databases.
  • Background in document parsing, OCR, or computer vision.
  • Open-source contributions.

What you get

  • Meaningful equity (we're early; this is real ownership).
  • Full-stack scope and direct customer access — no PM filter.
  • Fast review cycles. Code merged the day it's written, not the week after.
  • A revenue-positive product with zero churn — we're past "will this work" and into "how fast can we grow."

Data Engineer

Remote / Hybrid Full-time
Full-time

You'll own the data layer that powers CrocCRM — both the production pipelines that move broker and lender data through underwriting, and the lead generation pipelines that feed our marketing engine. This is a real data role at a small company: you'll build the pipeline, write the queries, and watch the dashboards you wired up.

What you'll do

  • Production data pipelines. Build and maintain ETL / ELT for bank statement parsing, document classification, lender rule extraction, and submission tracking.
  • Lead generation data. Maintain and expand our outbound data pipelines (state corporate filings, tax lien data, skip tracing, enrichment). Make the marketing engine self-feeding.
  • ML pipelines and labeling. Curate training data for our email classifier and statement parser. Build labeling tooling, retrain on a schedule, ship model improvements.
  • Analytics and instrumentation. Define and own the metrics — MRR, broker activation, statement-parse accuracy, email-classifier precision / recall, cost per deal. Build dashboards brokers and we both look at.
  • Cost and reliability. Watch infrastructure spend across the stack. Find the things that don't need to be in production and rip them out.

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years building production data pipelines — or you've built your own framework and it works.
  • Strong SQL. Comfortable with relational databases, including window functions, CTEs, query plans, and indexing.
  • Experience with at least one ML pipeline in production — training data curation, evals, retraining cadence, model deployment.
  • You think about data the way an engineer thinks about code: schemas matter, idempotency matters, observability matters.
  • Can talk to a non-technical person about what their metric actually means and what they should do with it.

Nice to have

  • Worked with PDF / document data at scale — OCR, layout models, text extraction.
  • Experience training or fine-tuning ML models.
  • Vector databases or retrieval pipelines.
  • Background in fintech, credit data, or alt finance.
  • Experience with web scraping, public records data, or B2B data enrichment.

What you get

  • Real ownership of the data layer of an AI product, not "data analyst with a fancier title."
  • Meaningful equity at an early-stage company with revenue and momentum.
  • Direct collaboration with the CTO on model architecture and infrastructure decisions.
  • Fast feedback loops — your dashboard or pipeline changes how decisions get made the next day.
